An exciting opportunity exists for a Full-Time Purchasing Officer to join the team at Range Steel Fabrications, based in Toowoomba.

As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for:

· Requesting and negotiating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

· Preparing and issuing purchase orders and order packages

· Liaising with drafting companies and staying across drawing changes and revisions

· Maintaining accurate filing of drawings and documentation

· Building and maintaining strong supplier, subcontractor, and client relationships

· Working closely with the Operations Manager and Directors to ensure contractual and project requirements are met

· Actively supporting project delivery through procurement activities and variation pricing

· General purchasing and administration duties as required

To be considered for the role you will ideally possess:

· Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (construction or steel industry highly desirable)

· Strong negotiation and relationship management skills

· High level of organisational skills with attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· A proactive, reliable, and professional approach

· Understanding of construction processes and timeframes (desirable)
