What you’ll be doing:

As a Finance Lead, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the RFS Fleet Production program. Reporting to the Manager Fleet Production, you’ll:

  • Manage operational and capital expenditure, ensuring strong financial governance and transparency.
  • Analyse supplier cost structures, procurement data, and market insights to support value-for-money decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis to validate milestone payments, supplier performance and contract compliance.
  • Prepare accurate reporting through SAP, SharePoint and other systems to inform decision-making.
  • Support supplier and vendor negotiations with financial insights and analysis.
  • Research financial impacts of industry trends and emerging technologies to guide strategic planning.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Financially astute with demonstrated experience in finance and procurement/ contract management in a complex environment.
  • Analytical and highly skilled in interpreting data, evaluating supplier performance and presenting clear insights.
  • Governance-minded with strong knowledge of NSW Government financial and procurement frameworks.
  • Collaborative and approachable being confident working with suppliers, vendors and internal teams to achieve transparent and accountable outcomes.
  • Purpose-driven and motivated by the opportunity to support a volunteer-based emergency service that protects NSW communities.
