We specialize in fresh fruit and vegetables, Mediterranean and European grocery items, and serve a growing local community with quality products and outstanding service. As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to join and lead our team. Salary on offer is $70,000–$80,000 plus super based on experience

Role Overview

We’re seeking a motivated Shop Manager with proven experience in retail, especially in fresh produce and grocery operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, staff supervision, inventory control, and ensuring high standards of customer service and store presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage daily supermarket operations

Lead, train, and supervise staff

Manage stock levels, orders, and supplier relations

Ensure product quality, particularly fresh produce

Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards

Prepare rosters and assist with payroll reporting

Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S regulations

Handle customer service issues and drive satisfaction

Assist with sales reporting and budgeting

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 2–3 years of retail management experience

Strong knowledge of fruit, vegetables, and grocery products

Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with POS and inventory systems

Experience in a continental/ethnic supermarket is a plus
