Murray Local Land Services (Murray LLS) have two exciting Senior Land Services Officer positions available:

SLSO 0.8 FTE backfill until 30 June 2027 (Deniliquin or Albury) – this role will include the following focus areas:

  • Delivery of NRM extension and advice services as detailed in the annual business plan and annual NRM core team operational plan
  • Collaborative development of annual NRM core team operational plan
  • Supervision and allocation of tasks to up to two direct reports
  • Contract development, including mapping, and contractor management
  • Budget tracking and management
  • Reporting as per departmental requirements

SLSO 1 FTE vacancy for temporary role until 30 June 2028 (Deniliquin only) – this role will include the following focus areas:

  • Project management and coordinator of on-ground delivery of NHT projects Healing Country and Paddocks for Plains Wanderer
  • Supervision and allocation of tasks to two project support staff (direct reports)
  • Contract development, including mapping, and contractor management
  • Stakeholder engagement – including regular engagement with Traditional Owner Groups and individuals associated with the Healing Country Project
  • Budget tracking and management
  • Reporting as per contractual and departmental requirements

About you

  • A self-starter with a strong background in project management
  • Skills, knowledge and passion for activities required to manage and recover threatened species and communities
  • A people person who enjoys hosting and speaking at events
  • Experienced NRM project manager and strategic planner

Essential requirements

  • Degree in natural resource management, agriculture, environmental management, biosecurity, emergency management or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to undertake a police check and medical clearance.
