We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Team Leader Community Development to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As the Team Leader Community Development, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering community development initiatives that improve quality of life, wellbeing and social capital across diverse communities. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, develop evidence-based strategies, and provide high-level insights that inform Council’s social policy, planning, and advocacy. Your leadership will ensure social needs, equity, and justice are central to Council’s community development portfolio.
What We Are Looking For:
Tertiary Degree Qualification (Social Sciences; Community Development or a related field) and equivalent skills and experience applicable to the role.
Demonstrated relevant experience in community development programming, planning and/or service delivery at a senior level.
Demonstrated experience in staff management and leadership.
Highly developed understanding and demonstrated experience of applying contemporary social policy principles, community development frameworks and best practice.
Sound financial management, including experience in budget, forecasting and grant funding applications, reporting and grant acquittal processes.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, individuals, and organisations.
