Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Educational Team Leader to join our team!

As an Educational Team Leader, you will have an opportunity to continue your practice as an educator while growing your leadership experience and capability. By providing leadership and supervision embedded within teaching teams, you will support efficient and high-quality delivery to students, promote job satisfaction and improved quality of working life for teaching teams.

You will focus on the delivery of quality educational outcomes and expected student experiences with the best utilisation of educators in a collaborative working environment, to meet the genuine needs of TAFE Queensland, employees, industry, and students. Educational Team Leaders are also responsible for leading and managing a teaching team or teams and performing associated administrative duties.

The Role

We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to lead our Educational Delivery team in Community Services at TAFE Queensland’s Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus.

This position reports to the Faculty Director.

Salary

The salary range for a TAFE Educational Team Leader is $116,193 - $124,323 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess relevant formal vocational qualifications that are current and directly relevant to Community Services, Youth Work/Child, Youth and Family Intervention training and learning, including:

  • current industry skills directly relevant to Community Services, Youth Work/Child, Youth and Family Intervention;
  • current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
  • evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card). For further information, please access: http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/;
  • Current Queensland Driver’s licence.

Additionally, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools (or TAESS502A or TAEASS502B); or
  • TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
  • TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
  • TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
  • TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or
  • A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

  • Five (5) or more years of teaching experience within TAFE Queensland, Vocational Education; and
  • Degree qualification in Vocational Education and Training; and
  • Higher level qualifications in the Community Services sector.
