The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical systems and supports the continued growth of our company. PENALTY RATE, Annual leave, Sick leave, RDO, site allowance, travel allowance.

12HRS, Day shift, Night shift and rostered.

Candidates must be available to work all shifts as rostered, including day shifts, night shifts, and rotating schedules.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical parts and systems in machinery and equipment.

Diagnosing faults and performing maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Aligning and testing mechanical systems and ensuring components function correctly.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant WHS standards and company policies.

Maintaining detailed service records and completing maintenance reports.

Collaborating with engineers and other team members to improve systems and processes.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A relevant Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent qualification) 5 years of relevant experience can be used in lieu of qualifcaton.

At least 3 years experience in a similar role.

Functional english

Workplace communication level English proficiency is required for effective performance in this role.

Demonstrated experience with mechanical fitting, repair, and maintenance.

Sound knowledge of workshop safety and mechanical systems.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Experience with tools and machinery.

Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

Permanent residency status is required for this position.
