Citiguard Protection Services is a leading provider of security services including Guards, Patrols and Electronic Security across Sydney.

The General Manager will lead and drive the organisation’s day-to-day business operations and develop and implement effective business strategies for growth. You will have P&L responsibility and ensuring the company delivers on its security services in a profitable and sustainable manner. The General Manager will be hands on and assist the Director’s with enhancing organisational culture to meet business objectives.

Our cutting-edge solutions encompass a wide range of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, guards and patrols services.

As the GM, you will play a crucial role in continued success, security of current turnover, expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth.

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Mobile Patrols, Man-Power Guarding, and Electronic Security Installation services industry. You will collaborate closely with our operations and marketing staff to develop and implement strategies that maximize market penetration and profitability.

Your ability to understand clients' needs, build strong relationships, and present compelling solutions will be the key to your success in this role.

Develop a strong team culture that encourages success.

Manage all aspects of the business

You will identify opportunities for growth within the industry.

Ensure management maintain client relationships.

Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to including workplace health & safety, sales processes and human resources.

Management training and development including performance management reviews.

Work closely with all management to plan events and promotions.

Lead Generation: Proactively seek and develop new leads through various channels.

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while establishing new relationships with key decision-makers to foster long-term partnerships.

Solution Presentations: Collaborate with technical teams to understand our security systems thoroughly and effectively present solutions to clients, showcasing their benefits and value.

Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals tailored to the specific needs of potential clients, demonstrating how our security solutions can meet their requirements.

Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached, and all parties' interests are safeguarded.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical departments, operations and accounting to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused approach to business development.

Financial review: continued assessment of performance and target achievement

Technology Experience

Basic knowledge on various security systems, i.e. having quoted or worked on them, understand what is required, the components and time/logistics to install. Being able to read reports

Have reasonable understanding of IT, how office 365 works, the phones, the server, website, accounting and dispatch software.

General Experience

Be able to critically review issues that arise in the manpower, electronics and accounting areas, make informed decisions and make changes where appropriate.

Management of People

Being able to communicate well with others, able to provide advice, reprimand, and support

Guarding and Mobile Patrols

Have a good understanding of how patrol and guard services work

Compliance

Have a good understanding of compliance requirements, ie Security Licence, ISO Certification requirements, WHS and requirements for accreditation companies

Finance

Understanding business accounting and tax requirements

Be able to evaluate tenders and price.

Sales and Growth

Able to close a deal, talk to clients and suppliers to achieve good outcomes for the business.

Able to write a tender response

Able to identify opportunities

Willing to check on things when not working

Able to fill in for roles within the organisation should be necessary

Ability to multitask
