The Merribee is looking for an incredible General Manager, to take on the freshly renovated French inspired Wedding Venue.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take the helm of an amazing luxe boutique accommodation and wedding venue operation, an environment where we are all about creating fun, being unique, offering something new, breaking barriers, saying yes and making sure the clients have fun and love their experience.

This role is not for the faint hearted, its a big role for a big player, someone with big ideas and dreams, confidence in your abilities and an enthusiasm and love for hospitality and a natural ability to lead.

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and brilliant General Manager to take the reins and continue to expand The Merribee!

About the role

As THE head executive team leader, you will oversee ALL daily operations. We are looking for the best of the best, someone with vision, with passion and drive, who can think fast, solve problems and run a team.

Experience in running weddings and accomodation facility with food and beverage outlets, is preferred - weddings are a huge part of our operation.

We want a General Manager that thinks of the customer and the guest experience in running the operation, while also prioritising staff and ensuring that there is a culture and team that love what they do.

We are all about running a “yes we can" environment, where we are able to say to our guests “yes we can do that” and we figure out a way to offer that service or product that our guests need and want. And we want a General Manager who can create this culture and service attitude within the team.

You will report directly to the company Chief Operating Officer, and you will personally oversee staff across the entire operation including: reception, food and beverage, wedding and functions, sales and occupancy, admin, grounds, and maintenance.

As General Manager, you'll proudly take the keys and manage the daily hotel, occupancy, wedding operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the safeguard of the brand and its assets.
