Ozford Institute of Higher Education (OIHE) is a fully accredited provider of higher education degrees in Accounting, Management, IT and Marketing. OIHE is associated with the well-established Ozford Education Group (OEG) and offers English language, High School, and pathway courses. The Institute is dedicated to delivering quality and modern education and is now hiring a Student Service & Administration Officer who is highly motivated, energetic, and resourceful.

This position is based at the student service desk, where students can receive first-hand face-to-face assistance. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and resourceful individual with a positive outlook. The ideal candidate must have a proven commitment and passion for interacting with individuals from diverse, multicultural backgrounds including Under 18s. Reporting to the Head of Department, the role provides student experience services, welfare support, and general administration support for the entire school.

The specific duties of the role include:

1. Enhancing the daily student experience by providing student services and welfare support for higher education and students under 18.

2. Accurately and consistently maintaining student records across multiple systems. Ensuring that all records are meticulously organized in a logical and easily accessible manner, allowing students, faculty, and staff to utilize them efficiently.

3. Present student records professionally and as the primary point of contact for all student inquiries and correspondence. Conducting student orientation sessions and providing accurate information and advice to students on course-related matters. Liaising with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders as required. Offering compassionate and thoughtful student counseling and referral to external service providers when necessary.

4. Providing general administration support for students, including data entry and office support to management & student services.

5. Managing the front office/student support desk by handling parents, guardians, visitors, and student inquiries.

6. Coordinating welfare arrangements for students under 18 years old and ensuring their safety and well-being while they are studying at the College.

7. Providing reliable guidance to students regarding their academic pursuits, as the initial point of contact for any inquiries from students and academic staff at the College.

8. Assisting students with non-academic needs and helping with a range of support services to enhance their overall student experience.

9. Respond to general student inquiries and resolve queries effectively.

10. Ensuring accurate maintenance of student records including preparation of Board reports.

Requirements:

Having knowledge about the key legislation, policies, and procedures that are relevant to international students. This includes having essential knowledge about the ESOS Code of Practice.

A positive and supportive communication style is essential, especially when communicating with various key stakeholders. It is also important to be able to plan, control, coordinate, and manage activities with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including conveying complex information clearly and concisely. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new systems is also important.

Being a self-starter with a professional image is crucial, and it is important to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

At least three years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with a strong background in the education sector, is also required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's qualification or higher

Three years experience in a similar role
