Position: Retail Manager

Location: Bami Seaford, Shop 62/108 Commercial Rd, Seaford SA 5169

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/year (plus superannuation)

Start date: as soon as possible

Main responsibilities:

• Product Mix & Service Standards: Determine product mix and stock levels for fresh produce, beverages, and ingredients, while ensuring consistency and high service standards across all customer touchpoints.

• Purchasing, Marketing & Pricing: Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies, set menu pricing to balance customer affordability with business profitability, and adapt to seasonal demand.

• Promotion & Advertising: Promote and advertise Bami’s menu and services through in-store initiatives, digital platforms, and local community engagement.

• Customer Engagement & Sales: Actively sell and recommend dishes and beverages to customers, advising on menu options (including vegan, gluten-free, and specialty items) to enhance the dining experience.

• Financial Records: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, daily takings, supplier invoices, and other financial transactions.

• Budgeting & Cost Control: Undertake budgeting for the establishment, monitoring financial performance and implementing strategies to achieve sales and cost-control targets.

• Staff Selection & Supervision: Recruit, train, roster, and supervise front- and back-of-house staff, ensuring teamwork, efficiency, and professional development.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and hygiene requirements, maintaining a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.

Other requirements are:

• Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)

• Qualifications: Diploma level, preferably in Hospitality/ Business/ Leadership/ Management

• Previous experience: At least 1 year working as a Retail Manager

• Skills: Strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, financial management, exceptional customer service, knowledge of food safety standards, and compliance with health regulations.

• Language: Conversant in English
