About the role

JMJ Legal Group Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Junior Solicitor or Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Browns Plains, Queensland. This full-time role will see you provide expert legal support and advice in the field of property law and conveyancing. As a key member of our growing practice, you will play a vital part in helping our clients navigate the complexities of property transactions with efficiency and care.

What you'll be doing

Conducting residential and commercial property conveyancing, including contract preparation, exchange, settlement and post-settlement processes

Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal documents such as contracts, leases, transfers and other relevant paperwork

Providing professional and personalized advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process

Conducting thorough property and title searches, and liaising with relevant authorities

Assisting senior solicitors with more complex property matters as required

Maintaining detailed client records and ensuring all work is completed to the highest professional standards

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Admitted as a solicitor in Queensland

1-3 years' experience in property law and conveyancing

Strong working knowledge of property law, conveyancing practices and relevant legislation

Preferably experience in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA conveyancing

Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language

Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines

Demonstrated experience using legal research databases and conveyancing software

A genuine passion for property law and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
