The Business

This business has experienced rapid growth and now has a truly national footprint with plans to expand internationally. To support this growth the company is seeking a Global Financial Controller to create the platform for future growth and help prepare the business for a shareholder exit or IPO.

The Role

As the senior finance leader, the Global Financial Controller will take ownership of all financial control functions across all markets. This is a hands-on, technical leadership role suited to a controller who can operate independently, without day-to-day reliance on the CFO.

You will be responsible for:

Full ownership of financial reporting, compliance, tax, systems, payroll, governance, and risk

Driving business partnering and commercial finance insights to support growth

Implementing robust financial governance and operational controls

Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic visibility in a fast-paced environment

Leading and mentoring a small team, embedding best practice processes and creating capacity for the CFO

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an exceptional financial leader who brings:

A proven track record as a Financial Controller in a product-based, inventory-driven business (multi-site experience highly regarded)

Strong technical grounding, ideally CA-qualified with Big 4 audit training

Efficient and accurate; You will be the type that places a high degree of importance on workpaper standards and controls, and have proven experience running finance teams towards a <5-day month end close.

Deep knowledge of IFRS/AASB standards and familiarity with ASX reporting requirements

Experience working in growth environments where speed, adaptability, and execution are critical

A hands-on approach, with the ability to step into detail while maintaining oversight

Leadership capability to drive change and elevate processes in a lean structure
