We’re on the lookout for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team at King Scrap Metals in Perth.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators and other heavy machinery to load, move, and process scrap metal. This is a hands-on role where safety, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators to load/unload and process scrap metal

Assist with general yard operations including sorting and stockpiling materials

Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance

Work closely with the yard team to ensure smooth operations

Keeping safety front of mind at all times

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as an excavator operator (scrap or recycling industry experience an advantage)

Current operator tickets/licences

Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
