Account Manager – Commercial Doors & Architectural Hardware
Location: Sydney – Western Suburbs (office & field-based work)
I’m representing a long-established, Austrlian-owned and operated organisation considered a leader in aluminium partitioning systems, sliding door systems, commercial doors, and architectural hardware accessories. About the Role
An opportunity now exists for a motivated Account Manager with a focus on the commercial doors sector. Acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, resolving issues, and driving growth. The role requires regular contact at the Sydney western suburbs office to collaborate with the broader team and support seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage client relationships across builders, architects, and fit-out contractors.
- Drive sales growth by following up on quotes, closing opportunities, and promoting door systems, sliding systems, and architectural hardware.
- Support project delivery, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
- Partner with internal teams to address client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide technical input, including the ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Take ownership of client satisfaction, including escalations and issue resolution.
Skills and Experience
- Previous sales, account management, or business development experience in the construction products or building materials industry. It's a plus if you've had any experience working on commercial projects such as offices, corporate headquarters, hospitals, aged care, schools & universities
- Knowledge of commercial door systems, sliding systems, or architectural hardware considered desirable
- Trade background in Carptentry, Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Glazing, Shopfitting and/or Aluminium fabrications considered desirable
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
