The Role:
The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-moving, mission-driven organisation, supporting a CFO to deliver strong financial stewardship in a complex environment. You will play a key role in enhancing financial management and ensuring transparency and efficiency across the organisation.

This is a hands-on and strategic role, balancing bookkeeping accuracy with financial analysis, strengthening internal controls, and supporting compliance in a highly regulated context. You will be supported by a part-time outsourced bookkeeper, who manages core transaction processing, payroll, and reconciliations, allowing you to focus on higher-level analysis, reporting, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance month-end reporting to provide clear, actionable insights.
• Set up strong flows of information across the organisation to track spending and optimise decision-making.
• Act as a trusted business partner, explaining financial outcomes to non-finance stakeholders.
• Help improve processes and controls to support growth and transparency.

The Ideal Candidate:

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• 5+ years’ experience in finance roles, including financial management and reporting
• Comfortable partnering with leadership in a fast-paced, lean, and young environment.
• Curious, inquisitive, and commercial—able to dig into numbers and spot insights
• Hands-on with Xero or similar accounting systems.
• Passionate about mission-driven work and making a tangible impact.
