Sydney Art Flooring is an established retail organisation specialising in supply and installation of flooring, carpet and rugs.

We’re looking for an experienced flooring consultant who can measure and quote (both on-site and from floor plans). You’ll build strong relationships with designers, architects, builders, and home renovators, assisting them with their flooring, carpet and rug requirements.

This job is suited for a confident and motivated individual with great interpersonal skills able to work on full time base in our flagship showroom at Bondi Junction.

Example duties and Required skills:

All duties and requirements associated with sales and customer service in a retail store environment.

On the floor selling, customer liaison (site inspections, quoting, project management etc).

Logistics (booking stock, managing customer appointments, arranging installers, deliveries etc).

Store merchandising, attending to store presentation and maintaining store standards.

Previous proven experience in timber flooring and carpet industry.

Must have computer skills (We do not use paper).

Have a professional, reliable and self-motivated attitude.

Achieve monthly sales targets, and exceed them for growth in career.

The ability to conduct on-site measurements for flooring estimates.

Estimate read and interpret off architectural floor plans.

Must have exceptional communication and writing skills.

Must have a current driver’s license.

Have a "customer first" approach and be willing to work with the client from the planning phase right through to completion of their project.
