About the Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Ability to Achieve, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex behaviours and diverse needs. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Mortdale/Revesby, NSW, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those you support.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments to identify triggers and underlying functions of behaviours of concern
Design and implement individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans to foster skill development and promote self-regulation
Provide training and coaching to families, carers, and support staff to ensure consistency and success in implementing strategies
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with organisational and NDIS requirements
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of behaviour support practices within the organisation
About You
Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related discipline
Graduate or entry-level Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (provisional registration welcome)
Solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and contemporary best practices
Knowledge of restrictive practices and relevant reporting requirements under the NDIS
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a range of stakeholders
Well-developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Commitment to person-centred, strength-based support and ongoing professional development
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally as required
