Entry-Level Behaviour Support Practitioner Role (Flexible Hours)

Do you hold a degree in relevant behavioural science studies?

Do you have experience working with people with Disability?

Are you looking to become an NDIS suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner?

We can support you with your career goals!

We are looking for a new Entry-Level Behaviour Support Practitioner to learn the role under supervision and guidance, and to independently provide services to our participants in the Sydney area.

If your career goal is to become an exceptional Behaviour Support Practitioner, and you are located in Sydney and want to work where you live, apply now!

We have a particular need in the following areas:

Sydney North/Northern Beaches

West and South West Sydney (Campbelltown/Blacktown)

Sydney City and Surrounding Suburbs

You will need experience working with people with Disability, being comfortable and confident working with people of all ages and diagnoses.

About us:

We are an NDIS-registered provider, and we support participants throughout NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and TAS. Some of our practitioners specialise, but across the entire organisation, we work with all ages, all diagnoses, and all behaviours.

We utilise an array of technologies to allow you to focus on delivering exceptional services in an efficient way – you probably didn’t get into this field for the admin time, so we work to keep that to a minimum!

We have a best-in-class induction training program to set you up for success.

About the role:

This role has the flexibility to either be part-time 4 days (minimum), or full-time. This is a hybrid working-from-home and mobile role. You will be based at home and will go out to visit people in their homes, schools, workplaces, programs, and in the community.

Being a Behaviour Support Practitioner will involve working with people and their support networks to bring about behavioural change. We do this by understanding the relationship between a person’s environment (social and physical) and their behaviour, and then influencing that person’s environment so that it sets them up for success. Another important part of the role is supporting skill development, to ensure people have effective ways to get their needs met.

Our practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plans (CPBSPs), support the implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review where necessary. The role involves other elements, too – connecting with other team members, attending training, participating in projects or research, facilitating workshops, and more. We are proud to have a diverse and passionate team, and we support people to lean into their strengths and interests.

About you:

You have experience working with children and people with disability, and you are familiar with the NDIS

You meet the criteria to apply to become an NDIS Suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner - we will support you to apply for registration if you do not hold this. *link at the bottom
