We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners who are passionate about delivering best-practice supports. This role offers the opportunity to create meaningful outcomes for participants while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Special Education, or a related field
Registration with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient, or Advanced)
Minimum 1 years’ experience in behaviour support, with demonstrated ability to prepare both interim and comprehensive PBSPs
Strong understanding of restrictive practices legislation, authorisation processes, and reporting obligations
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports for participants, families, and the NDIS Commission
Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and valid driver’s licence
Key Responsibilities
Undertake Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and behavioural observations in line with NDIS Practice Standards
Develop and implement evidence-based, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) in line with restrictive practice frameworks across NSW and QLD
Ensure all NDIS reporting requirements are met, including:
Submission of interim PBSPs within 1 month of restrictive practice use
Development of comprehensive PBSPs within 6 months, with regular reviews and updates
Monitor and adjust behaviour support strategies to reflect participant progress, goals, and reporting obligations
Provide training, coaching, and support to families, carers, and staff to ensure effective plan implementation
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated supports
Maintain professional, accurate, and auditable documentation in line with NDIS Commission requirements
Deliver services across multiple settings including community, Supported Independent Living, and office environments, with travel as required
