Are you a senior communications professional with a passion for community engagement and infrastructure projects? We’re looking for a Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to join a high-performing team delivering critical water infrastructure initiatives across NSW.
This is a dynamic opportunity to work across multiple projects that have direct community impact — managing stakeholder engagement, developing communication strategies, and delivering creative, on-the-ground campaigns.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies across several water infrastructure projects
• Coordinate a variety of activities including website content, eDMs, print and radio advertising, stakeholder briefings, and community events
• Provide expert advice to project teams on sensitive or complex issues
• Lead engagement activities with councils, local businesses, and regional communities
• Evaluate campaign outcomes and deliver clear reporting and insights
• Travel to regional areas approximately once a month as part of stakeholder engagement

What you’ll bring:

• 10+ years’ experience in communications and community engagement, ideally in a government or public infrastructure context
• Strong track record managing sensitive or high-impact projects
• Proven ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional writing, editing, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience developing strategies and executing delivery – from brief to evaluation
• Experience with infrastructure, utilities, or water projects is highly desirable
