We are searching for Coordinator to fill a position in our OSHC service that is located Gympie East State School.
As the Coordinator, you will be actively engaged in contributing to the wonderful Gympie East State School community as well as supporting children's growth and development. The service will be supporting families with before school care, after-school care as well as vacation care.
The successful Coordinator candidate will ideally have:
An ACECQA approved Childcare Qualification or currently studying towards.
Experience working with children between 5 and 12 years old.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the industry.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, gardening, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
About the Coordinator role
Leading a small team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You will have the support of an experienced team at head office as well as an area manager and WH&S officer who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. We are looking for someone who:
Is an enthusiastic person with an engaging approach to childcare
Has the ability to form and foster positive relationships with children, families, staff and the wider school community
Can lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster, budget and resource management
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration
Educators - what are we looking for?
We can teach you about the role and early childhood sector, however a few fundamentals are required:
Hold or willing to obtain a working with children blue card
Australian work rights
Experience working with children
Ability to prepare and serve healthy food options
Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and the school community
Nurture a positive environment for learning and enriching play-based educational experiences
Have First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates (or are willing to obtain)
