Job Title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Sydney
A recruitment consultant is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and placing candidates into suitable job vacancies for clients by managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from client engagement to candidate selection. Key skills include excellent communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation, and business development, while qualifications can range from College to university degrees in HR or related fields, though experience in a specialist industry or sales can also be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement: Identify client needs, attract new business, build strong client relationships, and understand market dynamics.
Candidate Sourcing: Source, screen, and interview potential candidates, assessing their skills and suitability for specific roles.
Talent Management: Manage the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, conducting interviews, testing candidates, and facilitating job offers.
Market Expertise: Provide market insights and strategic advice to clients regarding current job market trends.
Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of employment between clients and candidates.
Communication: Clear, persuasive communication to effectively convey job requirements and build rapport with both clients and candidates.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse individuals and maintain trust throughout the recruitment process.
Sales & Business Development: A proactive, sales-oriented mindset to generate new business and achieve ambitious targets.
Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate job offers, salary, and conditions of employment.
Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to manage multiple roles and deadlines simultaneously.
Resilience & Drive: The ability to handle rejection, navigate a competitive fast-paced environment, and stay motivated to achieve goals.
Qualifications & Experience
Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
