From humble beginnings in 2014, CW Wines is a wholly Australian family owned and operated business that grows, makes, and distributes our portfolio of wines both in Australia and internationally.

We own the Stonehaven winery in Padthaway, which was originally built by the Hardy’s family in 1998. Our portfolio includes respected brands such as Reschke from the Coonawarra region, Ulithorne & Cape Barren from McLaren Vale, Schild Estate from the Barossa, Stonehaven representing the greater Limestone Coast as well as one of Australia's fastest growing wine brands, Bone Dry. We own and manage more than 2,000 acres of vineyards in South Australia, including farming the original Reschke Vineyard and working with the Schild Family in the Barossa Valley, with plantings dating back to 1847.

Position Overview

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our team and oversee the end-to-end planning and management of our wine bottling and packaging operations. This role is central to ensuring our portfolio of wines is delivered to market on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Management of the procurement of goods/services through strategy, negotiation, and implementation.

Management of contract negotiation, tenders and SLA’s.

Accountability for bottling expenditure, with focus on product cost management and process efficiencies to minimise finished goods per unit costs.

Management of production quality and delivery issues with suppliers including conflict resolution and negotiation of best outcomes for the company.

Co-ordination of bottlings (including production scheduling, conducting pre-bottling packaging checks, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the bottling process on the days of production).

Responsible for the inventory management of all finished and dry goods.

Ensure all direct costs are allocated within our winery management system accurately and within a timely manner.

Communication with the sales department of any inventory discrepancies in order to solve inventories issues in due time.

Communication with the winemaking and sales department to ensure products are available to meet company requirements.

Liaise with the finance team on end of month processes, invoicing accuracy, stock reconciliations and inventory control.

Assistance with new product design concepts through to fruition to maximise consumer brand perception in line with the pricing and tier of wines.

About You

Strong background in production management, supply chain, or procurement (wine, FMCG, or related industries preferred).

Proven experience in supplier negotiation, cost management, and contract management.

Experienced leader in demand forecasting, inventory control, and cross-functional planning

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, schedule, and prioritise production in a fast paced environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, efficiency, and cost optimisation.

Advanced ERP experience (Vintrace, EzyWine or similar) and excellent Microsoft Office capability.

Passion for the wine industry and an eye for detail in quality and presentation.
