The Opportunity

The Inclusion and Equity Coordinator plays a pivotal role in promoting an inclusive and equitable environment within our school. This position involves collaborating with educators, students, families and community members to create a supportive and welcoming school culture where every individual feels valued and respected regardless of their background, abilities or differences. We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for ensuring all students can access their learning and meet their individual potential.

Role commences 21 January 2026

3 year tenure as Equity and Inclusion Coordinator with option to reapply

POR 2 Allowance $10,193 gross annually in addition to teaching salary

1.0FTE release time for the coordinator role

Key Responsibilities

Create, lead and implement a shared vision and strategy for inclusion and equity within the school community.

Lead the design and implementation of curriculum intervention programs that address identified areas of student learning need.

Work closely with classroom teachers to modify curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet the needs of all students, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Current Teacher Registration in South Australia.

Create, lead and implement a shared vision and strategy for inclusion and equity within the school community.

Lead the design and implementation of curriculum intervention programs that address identified areas of student learning need.

Work closely with classroom teachers to modify curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet the needs of all students, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Collaborate with CESA consultants, Allied Health Services and other support staff to develop and implement Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL’s) and behaviour intervention plans as needed.

Conduct case management/review meetings to plan, monitor and review learning progress for students with additional needs.

Apply a thorough understanding of NCCD requirements to guide and support teachers in implementing and documenting appropriate adjustments, ensuring learning progression is captured and compliance is maintained.

In collaboration with CESA staff, lead the collection, moderation, and submission of NCCD data, while building staff capability and confidence in the data collection and reporting process.

Lead the Educational Support Officers (ESO’s), providing professional development and ensuring their effective deployment to deliver targeted interventions and in-class support.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships with staff, students, and parents, promoting collaboration and shared responsibility in teaching and learning.

Demonstrated capacity to manage administrative responsibilities effectively and efficiently, including timetabling and coordinating support staff to maximise student learning outcomes.
