About the role

Hypertuned Mackay is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Mackay, Queensland. As a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This is a brand new business with emphasis on the JDM market, a genuine interest and experience in JDM vehicles is preferred but not essential.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair faults in light vehicles

Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications

Perform a range of mechanical work, including engine repairs, brakes, suspension, electrical, and more

Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used

Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

Assist with workshop operations and ensure a safe, tidy and organised working environment

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a relevant trade

Several years of hands-on experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Good working knowledge of automotive systems and components

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail

A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
