Warehouse Operator – Food Industry | Temp hire with possible Casual to Permanent | Richlands Location

We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic Warehouse Operator to join our growing team in Richlands. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced food industry environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

This is a temporary backfill position with the potential to transition into an ongoing casual to permanent role for the right candidate. Prefer variety and flexibility? You’re also welcome to remain in our temp hire pool if that better suits your style.

Morning and afternoon shifts may be available depending on business needs.

About the Role:

Start time: 6:00 AM or 7AM, Monday to Friday (38-hour week).

Casual to start, with the opportunity for permanent employment after a successful probation period.

Work involves cold storage/freezer tasks, so a tolerance for cold environments is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating walkie stackers to move pallets to and from high racking (experience essential).

Decanting food products and correctly putting stock away.

Receiving and checking off incoming goods, including temperature checks.

Food temperature logging and rejecting stock that does not meet food safety standards.

Accurate stock handling and data entry into internal systems (experience with ERP systems such as Unleashed or similar is a plus).

Ensuring all tasks meet manual handling and food safety requirements.

General warehouse duties, with the flexibility to assist in other areas of the facility as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Previous warehouse experience, ideally in the food industry.

Solid understanding of food safety, manual handling, and hygiene protocols.

Comfortable with freezer work and physical lifting as part of daily duties.

Computer literate – ERP experience preferred, but training provided on Unleashed.

A Forklift License is desirable but not essential.
