This brand-new, government-owned childcare and kindergarten centre at Wedderburn College, located one hour north-west of Bendigo, offers an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact in your career.
Opening its doors in 2026, the purpose-built 90-place centre provides childcare and kindergarten for three and four-year-olds, with plans to expand to pre-prep. The centre operates Monday to Friday, 7am to 6 pm, providing options for both full-time and part-time employment.
About the Role
We’re seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators to join this exciting new team. Commencing 10 December 2025, successful candidates may be eligible for a commitment bonus of up to $4,000 and relocation incentive up to $10k.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll work alongside the Room Leader to create an enriching learning environment that fosters children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, as well as the National Quality Standards, you’ll contribute to high-quality educational programs and play a vital role in the children’s growth and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Room Leader to deliver engaging and inspiring learning spaces using evidence-based teaching practices.
- Contribute to planning and implementing innovative educational programs tailored to children’s development and interests.
- Monitor and support children’s progress, ensuring their social, emotional, and cognitive needs are nurtured.
- Design thoughtful learning environments that encourage positive interactions and exploration.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring all children feel safe and valued.
- Demonstrate reflective practice, using feedback to enhance teaching strategies continuously.
- Proactively contribute to an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture.
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- A Diploma or Cert III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent qualification).
- A love for working in a collaborative team culture.
- A commitment to building inclusive relationships with children and families, ensuring positive outcomes for the local community.
- Flexibility to work within a roster during the service’s operating hours (7 am to 6 pm).
