About the Role:
Early Childhood Educator - Hamilton, Victoria
Are you a passionate Early Childhood Educator seeking a rewarding role in a supportive, community-focused centre?
Tradewind is recruiting on behalf of a not-for-profit, Early Learning Centre in the heart of Hamilton. You'll be working in the 3-year-old Kinder room alongside two experienced ECTs in a collaborative team-teaching environment. The role operates on a rotating roster between 7am - 6pm (with core Kinder hours of 8am - 5.30pm) and includes wrap-around care.

Key duties:

• Identify and cater for individual learner needs and maintain child safety at all times
• Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, spiritual, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students
• Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children
• Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum
• Stay informed regarding current trends, early childhood practices and curriculum and resource developments

Required Qualifications & Attributes:

• Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent)
• Up to date First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management qualifications
• Current WWCC - Employee
• Current Mandatory Reporting for Early Years (or willingness to undertake training)
• Current Right to work in Australia

Skills & Experience:

• Have proven experience working in a Cert III or Diploma Educator position in an Early Childhood setting in Australia or New Zealand
• Ability to connect and build relationships with children, colleagues and the wider community to create long-lasting professional partnerships
• The ability to be adaptable, team-orientated and show very strong pedagogical knowledge of the Early years Curriculum and EYLF
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and demonstrate a competent level of English, both written and spoken
• Prior experience working with children with additional needs is a bonus
