About the role

We are seeking a talented Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at A1 Exhaust and Mechanical in Thornton, NSW. As a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on customer vehicles, ensuring they are running at their best. What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and repairing a variety of light vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems

Conducting scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, and wheel alignments

Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and answering any questions they may have

Collaborating with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient workshop operation

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification

At least 2 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a workshop environment

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

Good communication and customer service skills

A valid driver's licence and your own tools
