About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and adaptable People & Capability Generalist to join our team in a broad, hands-on role. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, values collaboration, and is passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
As a key member of the People & Capability team, you’ll support the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding through to offboarding—while delivering practical, first-level advice on employment matters, workplace investigations, and compliance.
With a strong emphasis on employee relations, policy interpretation, and P&C administration, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our people feel supported, informed, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, onboarding, and offboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in our HRIS
- Support compliance: working rights, police checks, vaccinations, and training
- Provide general administrative support and assist with P&C projects and communications
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on interpreting industrial agreements, Fair Work obligations, and internal policies, with a working understanding of relevant awards where required.
- Provide guidance on performance management, grievance and disciplinary matters, while assisting with workplace investigations and associated reporting.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Administration, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience supporting HR functions across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on employee relations and P&C operations.
- Solid understanding of employment law (Fair Work Act, Aged Care Award) or willingness to learn.
- Experience in aged care, health, or community services highly regarded.
- High-level administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Discretion, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
