Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation (YAC) is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to join our passionate team. This hands-on generalist role will see you working closely with our CEO, managers and staff to deliver high-quality HR support across recruitment, onboarding, professional development, compliance and employee engagement.

In this role, you will:

Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and staff.

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.

Coordinate training, professional development, and compliance programs.

Support performance management and embed YAC's values into everyday practice.

Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Champion wellbeing, engagement, and positive workplace culture initiatives.

About You:

3–5 years' experience in a HR generalist/advisory role.

Experience in recruitment, performance management, and learning & development.

Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Relevant tertiary qualifications (HR, Business, Psychology or similar).

Experience working with external HR/IR consultants (desirable).

Experience working with Aboriginal organisations and communities (desirable).

Background in the not-for-profit or community sector (advantageous).
