About the role

Our Disruptions team are looking for a Project Coordinator- Occupations and Disruptions with particular skills in data analysis and problem solving to join their award-winning team. We are looking for someone who can help this small team continue to kick goals and bring a focus to the detail of our complex disruptions portfolio.

As the Project Coordinator, Occupations and Disruptions, you will be an organised, data driven individual who can deal with an ever-changing environment.

On a day-to-day basis, you will find yourself:

  • Working across a variety of projects across Victoria with opportunities to challenge the status quo.
  • Developing dashboards on Excel and Power BI that will be widely distributed with key content of upcoming LXRP occupations.
  • Proactively support the disruptions team by applying analysis and detail to inform innovative thinking.

This is a three (3) year fixed term position, paying a salary between $97,955 - $111,142 + superannuation with hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working). The office you will be working from is in Melbourne's CBD and you will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them - many LXRP employees work flexibly.

Your working week will be varied each week - you will need to split your time between working in the office, working on site offices as required and working from home.

You will be working within a small but effective team in the Occupations and Disruptions space. Your team won the Innovation of the Year Award in 2022 for challenging the traditional approach to replacement services - did you hear of the Ferry running from Geelong to Docklands during a disruption? We also won the CEO LXRP Team of the Year in 2024!

Your manager, Thomas Alemis, has over five years' experience in Occupations and Disruptions - as a manager, he is supportive, encourages constant learning and enjoys developing a strong relationship with his team. He encourages you to speak your mind and share new ideas and will empower you to make decisions!

About you

You are someone that LOVES data, getting into the detail of problems, and why they exist!

Let's get technical - what skills do we expect you to have?

  • Knowledge and experience in Excel and Power BI.
  • Loves interacting and dealing with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Experience using data to inform decision making approaches.
  • Effective time management.

About Level Crossing Removal Project

Melbourne, VIC, Australia

Over the next eight years the Level Crossing Removal Authority will oversee the removal of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne.

The Victorian Government allocated $2.4 billion in its 2015-16 budget to remove at least 20 level crossings by 2018. These sites form the basis of a long-term strategic plan being developed to remove all 50 level crossings by 2022.

Construction has already commenced on several sites, and planning and early consultation is underway for the delivery of the entire project.

Removing the crossings will:

deliver significant safety improvements for drivers and pedestrians

improve travel around Melbourne – whether you're a train user, pedestrian, cyclist or driver

get people home safer and faster

make our roads more reliable, enabling people to better predict their travel times

stimulate economic growth by creating thousands of jobs during construction

revitalise local communities, with many areas benefiting from station rebuilds

enable more trains to run more often and on time.
