We are seeking a finance leader to join our Head Office team. This is a broad, visible role where you'll take ownership of accounting, reporting and compliance, while providing the insight and advice that supports decision-making at the leadership table.
What you'll be doing:
Lead and manage the Finance team, including Accounts Payable, Payroll and finance support functions.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting processes.
Deliver cost analysis and insights to support occupancy growth and organisational performance.
Partner with business leaders to deliver reporting and cost management initiatives, including budgets, P&Ls and reconciliations.
Manage payroll, procure-to-pay, and tax compliance processes (FBT, BAS, income tax, payroll tax).
Prepare and review statutory accounts, covenant reporting and financial commentary for Budget Holders and the Executive Team.
Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness and compliance frameworks across all services.
Partner with external auditors, lenders and key stakeholders.
Mentor and develop junior finance professionals, building a high-performing team.
Drive process improvement, embedding best-practice financial systems and controls.
Essential qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA or CA qualification preferred
Required experience:
Minimum 5-7 years in finance or accounting roles
At least 2 years in a team leadership capacity
Experience managing month-end processes and financial reporting
Essential skills:
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and financial modelling
Experience with XERO or similar accounting software
Knowledge of Australian tax compliance (BAS, FBT, payroll tax)
Work eligibility requirements:
Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
National Police Check required
Current driver's licence preferred
