The company
$55 million Australian supplier to the commercial building industry located in South-Western Sydney.
The role
Reporting to the CFO and leading an Accountant and two Accounts Clerks, your new role has responsibility for:
- month end management and production of financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow for several entities plus a consolidation.
- Preparation of variance analysis and commentary.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and maintaining the chart of accounts.
- Managing stakeholder enquiries and supporting the business with ad hoc analysis.
- Assisting the CFO with annual budgets and forecasts.
- Overseeing bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.
- Completing indirect tax returns and supporting the external tax and accounting advisors in preparation for annual accounts and income tax returns. Managing the annual audit.
- Managing the fixed asset register.
The Candidate
In order to be successful in your application you will:
- be CA/CPA qualified and have at least two years' experience managing month end processes, preparing financial reports and consolidations.
- have excellent technical accounting knowledge and have a track record of maintaining a clean set of accounts.
- experience in managing staff is desirable but not essential.
- very good Excel is important (look ups, pivots, sum ifs, workbook links as a minimum).
- have a track record of process improvement and automation.
