About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Landscape Leading Hand to join the team at Terra Mater Group. As a Landscape Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing landscape residential and commercial construction projects across ACT.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the work of a landscaping crew, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and within budget and timeframes

Oversee the installation and maintenance of a variety of landscape elements

Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on landscape design and maintenance

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Using equipment and vehicles - A current car driver's license is required for operating company vehicles

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior members of the landscaping team

Assist with the preparation of schedules, and other administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

Experience as a Landscape Leading Hand or similar role in the Landscaping industry

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate a team

Excellent knowledge of landscape design, construction, and maintenance techniques

Proficient in the use of landscaping equipment and tools, with a focus on safety

Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Relevant qualifications or certifications in Horticulture, Landscaping - a minimum of Certificate III is required

Australian work rights are required for this position
