The Package: $36.07 - $39.86 gross per hour + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression.

Are you an experienced grader operator and looking to contribute to the accessibility and safety of Queanbeyan-Palerang’s roads?

In this role you will:

Operate and maintain Council’s motor grader and smooth drum roller plant to provide maintenance and shoulder grading works to Bungendore, Braidwood and surrounding region’s roads.

Provide supervision, assistance and support to a small team, overseeing maintenance grading works along with re-sheeting gravel roads, sealed road shoulder grading, heavy patching, rehabilitation projects and minor reconstruction projects.

We are looking for someone who:

Has demonstrated experience in a similar role or extensive knowledge of road maintenance works.

Proven capability to effectively supervise and motivate staff to complete activities within the agreed timeline.

Possess and maintain a medium rigid (MR) driver’s licence, General Construction Induction NSW (white card) and Work Zone Traffic Control – Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plans.
