We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading civil contractor delivering a major defence project in Townsville. With a strong pipeline of works across North Queensland, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of a significant package of works, leading site teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role is ideal for a Project Manager with a proven background in civil infrastructure, looking to establish themselves in Townsville.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project delivery across roads, drainage, and associated civil works
• Lead and mentor site teams, ensuring compliance with WHS, QA, and project standards
• Oversee programming, cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and consultants
• Drive successful project outcomes from prestart to handover

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, or defence highly regarded)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and compliance requirements
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
