About the role

Glow Healthcare Australia is seeking an experienced Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Sydney, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality behaviour support services to individuals with complex needs, helping to improve their quality of life and support them in achieving their goals.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the functional causes of challenging behaviours.

Develop and implement tailored, evidence-based behaviour support plans to address challenging behaviours.

Provide training and guidance to families, carers, and support workers to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support plans.

Monitor and review plans regularly, making adjustments as needed.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

Maintain accurate and detailed client records while contributing to the development of organisational behaviour support resources.

What We're Looking For

Tertiary qualification in psychology, behaviour analysis, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective behaviour support plans.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, families, and support workers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify the root causes of challenging behaviours.

Thorough knowledge of behaviour support principles, evidence-based practices, and relevant legislation and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness to travel locally to visit clients in their homes or community settings.
