About the Role
We are seeking a strategic Business Partner, People and Culture to join our People and Organisational Development (POD) division in a permanent, full-time capacity.
A tremendous opportunity to showcase your diverse skills and expand your career horizon, you will collaborate with Executive members and divisional leaders to guide the development, promotion and implementation of workforce strategy, solutions to day to day challenges and championing cultural change within the organisation.
You will report to the Executive Director of POD and play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that support high performance, effective change and sustainable business outcomes.
To succeed, you will:
Build deep relationships with business units to deliver workforce strategies that drive performance and align with the PTA’s vision and values.
Provide high-level strategic advice and coaching to leaders and managers on people matters, workforce issues and organisational change.
Collaborate across POD centres of expertise to ensure seamless service delivery, while promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Partner with business leaders to develop and execute sustainable people solutions, supported by insights and data that inform decision-making and anticipate future trends.
Champion change management efforts, providing guidance on organisational design and development.

About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent substantial experience in the delivery of a broad range of contemporary human resource management services.
Sound consultancy, project and change management skills, with a track record of successfully supporting workforce programs that drive results.
Significant experience advising and coaching managers at all levels, with solid background in a partnering and motivating leaders to achieve business goals and inspire confidence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, influence stakeholders and work collaboratively.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with great organisation and time management to handle competing priorities.
About Us
The Public Transport Authority (PTA) operates all bus, train and ferry public transport services in the greater metropolitan area under the Transperth brand. We operate public transport services in regional centres under the TransRegional brand; road coach and rail passenger services to regional areas under the Transwa brand; and administer and manage School Bus Services.
We also design, build and maintain public transport infrastructure and protect the long-term viability of Western Australia’s rail corridor and railway infrastructure.
We deliver public transport services seven days a week and, in some cases, deliver supporting services up to 24 hours a day.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable for appointment through this process may be provided opportunities to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA, you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
