About the Role
As a Membership Consultant, your purpose is to convert prospects into members while delivering an exceptional first impression of the club. You’ll be the face of the club for new members, building relationships, driving sign-ups, and helping to create a welcoming environment.
You’ll report directly to the Club Manager / Assistant Manager and work closely with the team to achieve sales, service, and community goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Prospect Management
Generate new leads through outreach, referrals, and local marketing.
Convert at least 50% of prospects into members using the 9-step sales process.
Make daily outbound calls, book club tours, and follow up with prospects via phone, SMS, and the internal CRM.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of membership options, pricing, and promotions.
Member Experience & Engagement
Deliver a welcoming and professional first impression at the front desk and on the gym floor.
Support members with their personal goals and track progress in the internal CRM.
Drive retention through referrals and “bring-a-friend” initiatives.
Systems & Administration
Accurately record all leads and member interactions in the internal CRM.
Manage membership changes (cancellations, suspensions, adjustments) in line with club protocols.
Provide weekly sales and lead updates to the Club Manager.
Marketing & Community
Create and share engaging social media content highlighting the club, offers, and member success.
Represent the club at community events and through local outreach initiatives.
Operational Support
Ensure the club is always presented to the highest standard.
Assist with in-club promotions, events, and member campaigns.
What We’re Looking For
Confident communicator with strong customer service and sales skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to meet targets.
Outgoing personality, you love talking to people and building relationships.
Interest in health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals.
Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Saturdays.
Previous sales or fitness industry experience is a bonus (but not essential).
