About the Role
This is a newly created position working directly with the CEO to provide executive assistance and member support. You’ll coordinate agendas, prepare papers and attend quarterly Board meetings, monthly Secretariat meetings and the annual AGM. The role also spans member communications, research, light policy support, and coordination of events and digital content.
About the Person
You are highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with strong writing and communication skills. Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced association, you’re forward-thinking, bring discretion, a can-do attitude, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders. Experience in associations, government liaison or corporate affairs is highly regarded.
Duties
- Provide executive support to the CEO, including diary, correspondence and meeting coordination
- Coordinate agendas, collate papers and take accurate minutes for Board, Secretariat and AGM meetings
- Draft member updates, briefings and correspondence
- Assist in research and prepare policy summaries, letters and briefing materials
- Manage presentations and event collateral using templates
- Support planning and delivery of advocacy lunches, member events and political forums
- Maintain website and LinkedIn content in coordination with media/digital partners
- Liaise with Finance on expenses and reconciliations
Skills/Experience
- Previous EA or senior admin experience with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Excellent writing, proofreading and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Highly organised with proven ability to balance admin, events and policy tasks
- Association or membership organisation experience is desirable
- Interest in government, policy or the automotive/salary packaging sector is advantageous
