Job Summary:

As the Sous Chef at our sushi restaurant, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation. You will play a key role in managing kitchen staff, coordinating food production, and contributing to menu development. This role requires a blend of leadership, creativity, and hands-on culinary skills.

Requirements:

Assist Head Chef

Train new and existing kitchen staff

Food safety certificate holder

Order stock from suppliers

Food preparation

Skilled chef with an eye for detail

Follows all company policies and procedures

Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Excellent record of kitchen and staff management

Fill in for the head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary

Delegating tasks effectively
