About the role

Alegre Bar and Dining is seeking an experienced Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. This full-time role will be based in our restaurant located in the heart of Sydney's CBD. As Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and team management

Ensure consistent high quality in the preparation and presentation of all dishes

Collaborate with the kitchen team to innovate new menu items and improve existing recipes

Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the kitchen team

Manage kitchen stock levels and ordering to minimise waste

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a reputable restaurant or hotel setting

Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations

Excellent culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership and mentoring skills to develop and support the kitchen team

Passion for creating innovative and flavourful dishes
