🍣 Head Sushi Chef/ Site Manager – Full Time

Salary: $90-$100k (Dependent on level of experience)
Hours: Full Time – Tuesday to Sunday (Monday day off)

🔪 About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Sushi Chef who is equally comfortable leading a team as they are slicing sashimi. This dual role combines culinary excellence with operational leadership. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the site, maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for both team and customers.

🧑‍🍳 Key Responsibilities:

Lead sushi preparation, ensuring exceptional taste, presentation, and consistency.

Oversee the full kitchen operation – ordering, stock management, compliance.

Manage and train kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver top-notch service.

Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with food safety laws.

Drive site performance by meeting sales, waste, and labor targets.

Collaborate with senior management on menu development and seasonal offerings.

Represent the brand with pride, professionalism, and passion.

🥢 What We're Looking For:

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a sushi chef, with leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Deep knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and seafood handling.

Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Proven track record in managing kitchen operations and costs.

Passion for Japanese cuisine and exceptional customer service.

Ability to thrive under pressure and make confident decisions.
