About the role

HiPoke Australia is seeking an experienced Sushi Maker and Prep Chef to join our dynamic team in our Coolangatta (Kirra Beach), QLD location. As a casual role, this position will involve preparing and assembling a variety of sushi rolls, fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as undertaking general food preparation duties to support the kitchen.

What you'll be doing

Preparing sushi rice and other sushi components to high standards

Carefully assembling a range of sushi rolls

Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment

Assisting with general food preparation tasks as required

Following all food safety and hygiene guidelines

Contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

At least 1 year of experience in a similar take away sushi environment

Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality sushi to exacting standards

Strong attention to detail and presentation skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
