Position: Operations Coordinator – Mackay
Monday To Friday - 8:30am to 5pm.
+ on-call requirement
Role Overview:
As Abilities NQ continues to succeed and grow, we are looking for a passionate dynamic Coordinator to spearhead and underpin our growth in Mackay.
Reporting to the management team in Cairns and Townsville, you will have a strong background in the Child Safety and NDIS industries and a capacity to work autonomously in building collaborative & strong industry networks and driving client acquisition.
As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Championing ANQs person-centred care strategy and embedding the importance of active & person centred supports and services with our team. You will also be responsible for managing the performance and delivery of the NDIS and Child Safety Teams, coaching, mentoring and supervising your direct reports to enable them to have an optimal employee experience and the capacity to contribute.
Key Responsibilities:
Stewarding the operations of AbilitiesNQ Mackay Service offerings to ensure that all services remain person-centred and financially sustainable.
Developing and converting new business opportunities, partnerships, and relationships to continue the growth of service delivery.
Ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices in Child Safety and NDIS.
Support a team of staff members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Perform the rostering function for the Mackay Team, ensuring there is an appropriate shift rostered to meet the requirements of a participant’s service request and an appropriate Worker matched and scheduled for the shift
Represent the organisation at community events, industry conferences, and other public forums to promote our services and mission.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Demonstrated experience and contemporary knowledge regarding the NDIS, Child Safety and community sector reforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field is highly desirable but not essential
• Strong track record in relationship building, client acquisition, and networking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
