Yandina Licensed Post Office (LPO) is one of 4,400 Post Offices within Australia, servicing the postal and retail needs of Australians and our visitors from abroad. Yandina LPO is an independently owned (Licensed) Post Office and is continuing to expand their team. We have an exciting opportunity for a new team member, working behind the counter as a Retail Customer Services Officer. Hours vary between 7am - 5pm weekdays, however availability Fridays and the occasional Saturday each month is essential.
We are seeking either an experienced or non-experienced team member, however experience in cash handling is essential. The ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience and/or significant problem solving skills, coupled with strong attention to detail. A demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure in a dynamic workplace will be highly regarded.

The Opportunity
Retail Customer Service Officer - Yandina Licensed Post Office (LPO)
Casual
Hours varied – minimum 15hrs p/w
You will be working in a dynamic, supportive environment with on-the-job training and development provided.
What you'll be doing:
Performing customer sales and service transactions with business customers
Managing & maintaining high value transactions accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS
Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
Promoting and processing a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems
Accepting mail items for lodgement, and accurately assessing any applicable charges
Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
Preparing outward mail for dispatch
Receiving & Sorting Incoming Mail, including delivery to post office boxes
Maintaining commitment to Australia Post's Occupational Health and Safety standards
Besides being a friendly, considerate person with a real passion for great customer service, you will need to be able to:
Lift up to 16kg of mail repeatedly
Stand up for most of your shift
Be flexible for additional hours, as well as changing shift times – operating hours are from 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday & 9am - 12pm Saturdays (we are closed for long weekends!)
Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers
Undergo police and security checks in accordance with Australia Post policy & complete mandatory online professional development & training.
What we're looking for:
You enjoy working in a team environment but equally confident and capable of working solo (for experienced applicants) if required;
You have high attention to detail, can multi-task and remain calm under pressure;
You are willing to learn new skills or expand your current skill-set with further training and development;
You are committed to superior customer service and are a natural problem solver/solution finder;
You can lift up to 16kg of mail repeatedly and able to stand up for most of your shift.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
