About the position:

We're looking for an easy-going, friendly and driven sales person to join a leading supplier and service provider to the Maritime & Defence Industries across Australia. With branches nationwide, they cater to an array of maritime sectors, from shipbuilders and commercial fisheries to the oil and gas industry and search & rescue operations.

You will join a small team in this versatile role that blends counter sales and getting out on the road, customer service and operational duties ensuring that no two days are the same.

This role can be as big or small as you want it to be and a real opportunity to grab by the horns, make it your own and grow it!

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Be the go-to person for marine chandlery inquiries
• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices with precision
• Get out on the road and conduct sales visits to existing and new business opportunities
• Seek cross-selling opportunities and maintain professional customer relationships
• Keep up-to-date with the latest marine products
• Accurately handle receipt and dispatch of goods/ Coordinate with suppliers and freight carriers
• Deliver goods locally and assist with stocktake and warehouse upkeep

What We're Looking For:

• An individual with some sales experience, particularly (commercial sales is a bonus)
• Confident, articulate, and presentable with excellent customer service skills.
• A team player who is self-motivated with the ability to think creatively and try something new
• Computer literacy is a must and the ability to navigate order systems
• An interest in fishing or boating is a plus, but not essential (but that's who your customer are)
• Current driver's license is essential and a forklift license is advantageous or be willing to attain one.
