About the Role
We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer to lead the delivery of prestigious award and recognition programs that celebrate excellence across the public sector and community. This role involves end-to-end project management including communications, stakeholder engagement, assessment coordination, and event delivery. Operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent programs and events, the successful candidate will need to manage competing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and strategic focus. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure are essential. As a Senior Project Officer you will have the opportunity to carry out a diverse range of tasks including program elements such as managing the promotion of the awards to generate nominations, oversight and administration of the award assessment process including convening assessment panels, briefing internal and external stakeholders and event management of the award ceremonies.

We're Looking For
- Project Management: Experience undertaking all aspects of project-based work from research, development, implementation review and evaluation.
- Communication and Briefing: Strong written and verbal skills to prepare clear, high-quality communication and contribute to briefs and reports for internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build trusted and collaborative relationships, while providing high quality services subject to public and media scrutiny.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Comfortable managing competing priorities independently and contributing to successful solutions in a high-volume, unpredictable work environment.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience and training.
